You will need to find your serial/ model tag and
record the numbers and letters on this, then looking at the first four numbers
you should be able to work out the manufacture date. The format is yyww For
example:
If the first four numbers were 9912, this translates as the
12th week of 99 (March 1999)
If it is a newer model and starts with two letters instead of numbers it
may follow the Maytag serial
format.
