Heat
Plates for Sunbeam
There
are two types of heat plates for Sunbeam gas grills: flat and
tent. They are both listed separately below.
If you can't find your heat plate, you may want to check the rectangular
rock grates section for a satisfactory replacement.

Types:
-
Rock
grates hold briquettes above a gas grill’s burner, protecting
it from drippings by vaporizing them to improve
flavor.
-
Heat
plates and heat angles serve the same purpose as a rock grate
but are used without briquettes.
Dimensions:
-
The
front to back dimension (depth) is critical for a
rock grate to fit. A replacement grate (angle or
heat
plate) must be within three sixteenths of an inch
(0.1875”) of the original part in this dimension
to fit.
-
The
width of a grate is much less critical. A replacement
can be a few inches narrower than the original and
still be useful.
