Problem: If moisture gets inside the temperature gauge, the glass cover on the gauge can break, posing a risk of injury to people nearby. "Patio Caddie" 475496003. Problem: The regulators of these grills were incorrectly assembled with an undersized seat disc that could become dislodged and allow propane gas to leak, which may lead to fire or explosion. How to tell if you grill is effected: There are two model gas regulators involved in the recall. Model 451 is a single outlet regulator used on grills with traditional burners in the main box. Model 452 is a dual outlet regulator used on grills with a side burner adjacent to the main box. The regulators have date codes printed on the valve body. Date codes included in the recall are 13-03/03-13, 14-03/03-14, 15-03/03-15, 16-03/03-16, 17-03/03-17 and 18-03/03-18. Period the grill was available for: April 2003 through May 2003. Char-Broil Table Top Gas GrillsModels effected:Char-Broil table top LP gas grills Model 1200 Problem: Dirt, sand or other debris may become lodged in the grills regulator valve, making it appear the regulator is turned off when in fact it is not, and this may allow leaking gas to build up, which may cause an explosion or flames if you ty to relight the grill. The serial number is located on the white rating label on the back of the upper front panel of the grill. The serial numbers range from G305040611002821 to G305040611003420. These were sold exclusively through Big Lots Stores. Problem: The recalled grills could have an incorrect heat shield that does not fit the grills. Without the correct heat shield, the propane tank, hose, and regulator could overheat and damage these components, presenting a risk of fire and burn to consumers, if a propane leak occurs. How to tell if you grill is effected: The serial number is located on the white rating label on the back of the upper front panel of the grill. The serial numbers range from G305040611002821 to G305040611003420. These were sold exclusively through Big Lots Stores. Period the grill was available for: January 2007 through March 2007 Solution: You should inspect your grill to determine whether the heat shield is properly installed. If the heat shield is missing or cannot be installed as per the instructions, stop using the grill and immediately contact Char-Broil. Problem: The hose connecting the propane tank to the manifold can run up too close to the firebox. The heat from the firebox can damage the hose, causing it to leak gas. Only grills that have regulators with the name "GDA" are affected by this recall. The grills have three to six burners and the name "Brinkmann" or "Charmglow" on the lid. Problem: The regulators on these gas grills (the component that controls the flow of gas released to the burner), may leak when attached to certain liquid propane tanks. This obviously poses the risk of fire and injury. How to tell if you grill is effected: Only grills that have regulators with the name "GDA" are affected by this recall.
