½ cup plain unsweetened yogurt
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon sugar
2 or 3 tablespoons finely chopped mint

Mix ingredients together well and leave to stand for at least 30 minutes. Use as a marinade or as a serving sauce.
